On 28 October 2009 the winner of the competition, organised by the National Labour Inspectorate in Lublin, was announced. The winner in the category of companies which employ up to 50 staff was TEZET Sp. z o.o., owner of the Liquid Gas Reloading Terminal in Brzeźno.
Only companies which have been nominated by the Regional Labour Inspectorate can take part in the competition; companies which fulfil specific requirements concerning occupational health and safety.
The idea of the competition is to promote best practices in improving occupational health and safety conditions and to inspire employers to take action to eliminate dangers existing in the workplace.
During the gala organised on 28 October 2009 by the Regional Labour Inspectorate in Lublin, the chairman of the board, Tomasz Berzyński, received the diploma awarding TEZET Sp. z o.o. 1st place in the competition.
The nomination of our company for the competition by the Regional Labour Inspectorate is confirmation for us that we have taken the right decisions and an ennobling sign of appreciation of our efforts towards ensuring the safety of employees and protecting the natural environment, – Tomasz Berzyński said. Working with a substance as hazardous as LPG is the cause of many dangers. We have invested in the newest technical and organisational solutions, going beyond the regulations currently in force, enabling us to radically limit the risk of a serious industrial breakdown and to minimise the existing threats to employees.
After 18 years of TEZET’s operation and after 10 years of being in use, the Liquid Gas Reloading Terminal was thoroughly modernised and extended in 2006. The aim was to increase the transhipment capacity to 50,000 tonnes per month while at the same time attaining the maximum level of occupational safety. The ISO 9001:2000 quality management system was implemented at the terminal.
The Regional Labour Inspectorate in Lublin has registered TEZET Sp. z o.o., as the regional winner, to the national stage of the competition; the results will be announced during the gala at the Royal Castle in Warsaw on 18 November 2009.
